PAC Project Software

The PAC Project Software Suite from Opto 22 provides all the software you need for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and data acquisition applications in any field. One of four components of the SNAP PAC System, PAC Project software is fully integrated with SNAP PAC controllers, brains, and I/O, making it easy to understand, select, buy, and apply an automation system for your needs.

PAC Control, part of the PAC Project Software Suite, is an intuitive, flowchart-based tool for programming industrial automation, remote monitoring, and data acquisition applications. Using PAC Control, you create and debug control programs and then download and run them on a SNAP PAC industrial controller.

PAC Display offers rich features, including alarming, trending, security, and a built-in library of 3,000 industrial automation graphics. PAC Display uses a fast, multithreaded scanning engine.

Because of PAC Project’s single tagname database, the data elements you created when programming your PAC Control strategy, such as I/O points and variables, are automatically available for use in PAC Display. This single tagname database eliminates the need to create duplicate databases and eliminates tagname-related errors.

PAC Manager is a configuration and maintenance utility used with all SNAP PAC System controllers and brains. It is used to assign and change IP addresses, load new firmware, configure points and features, and for one-time reads and writes to I/O points.

OptoOPCServer is a fast, efficient OPC 2.0-compliant server for exchanging data with Opto 22 controller systems running PAC Control strategies, or with SNAP Ethernet-based I/O units. OptoOPCServer integrates these systems with PCs on an Ethernet network running OPC clients such as Microsoft products, third-party packages, and custom applications you create with tools such as Visual C++.

OptoDataLink, part of the PAC Project Professional Software Suite, provides data exchange between the SNAP PAC System and popular databases such as Microsoft(R) SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and MySQL. OptoDataLink connects your SNAP PAC System with the tools used for making business decisions.
